Wright Vision III by kcegraphics Wright Vision III by kcegraphics
"Fallingwater" continued......Comment freely. Make sure to visit as many Frank Lloyd Wright houses as you can. Btw, this house is completely cantilevered for those of you who did not know this.

It is absolutely gorgeous in person too. I was awe struck when I visited and in the fall of the year with the colors at their peak, there is nothing that compares.

this is the most beautiful house ever. frank lloyd wright built it to show people like gropius and johnson how the international style should be done, which makes it all the better that it was done in spite :-D

That's a pretty insane shot. Did you have to hike around in the woods or do they have an area where you can get this shot ?
In fact, my buddy and I were talking about this house just the other day - where is it? PA?

yes, mPA It is a must see. I don't remember the exact town/city. It is about an hour or so outside of Pittsburgh.

Ahh the art of photography meets architecture. I like the composition well and Lloyd's skills are certainly minimalism yet gives a certain attitude on it's own. :+fav:

Great composition, placing the house in the top of the frame. Perfect exposure showing the motion/flow of the water. The tone works well, I wonder how it would look in color.

Well done...

Man I love Wright. I've always loved architecture, I guess that is why I am dating an Architect. :D Anyway, you have captured a beautiful shot here. Love the B&W with the slight blue tone. I'm lucky enough to live about two blocks away from one of his works: Dana Thomas House. Though it is nothing exceptional out of most of his work, it is still amazing.

i here the house comes out 30 feet over the cliff in some parts. FLW was the man.

were lucky enough to have allot of his stuff in arizona, along with a school. he was surely ahead of his time.
good job

It's really not too bad inside the station. At least not when we went. Not one crackhead in the place. Did not even see a Detroit river rat. Go figure? Oh, and I wish i was in Arizona to see FLW's school, can't remeber the damn name of it and that is going to bother all night while I am at the bar. Thanks for all your comments man.

Wow, that for one looks like a really gorgeous place to see...Nice architecture, not like any I've seen before. The focus is great, the blue looks gorgeous here, I want to see a building like this someday.

Now this is cool! The blue tones create a cold feeling which fits to the winter scenery well. The snow and the water look kinda weird together, in other words good. The foggy forest in the background is also lovely.
Awesome shot! :+fav:
