Ren Cen by kcegraphics Ren Cen by kcegraphics
Taken this past weekend in my hometown of Detroit. The Renassiance Center was recently purchased by General Motors and has been a staple of the Detroit skyline since 1977. It was built as a symbol of rebirth. Since then, the city of Detroit has been slowly progressing towards greatness. Over the last few years, major rebuilding and growth has taken place, thanks in large part to former mayor Dennis Archer (WMU alumni like myself) and current mayor Kwami Kilpatrick. Detroit may soon finally get the respect it deserves. This building holds many memories for me and I hope some of you will be able to visit Detroit sometime over the next few years and see how beautiful it really is.

P.S. It's not as scary as many make it out to be.

humm.. those buildings look like something out of science fiction.. they really don't look real to me... i guess living in a city virtually without high rises, or at least nothing over 15 or 20 stories high, the buildings just seem unnatural and unreal.. but i like it though.. you captured the buildings well :)

The perspective of this shot is very good and I really like how the buildings are crisp all the way to the top with no loss of detail along th way. Excellent shot!
